What is a prop trading evaluation?

A prop trading evaluation is a scored account with a profit target and loss limits. The fee and the rules are shown before you start.

A scored account, not a deposit

A prop trading evaluation is a paid assessment. You trade a simulated balance against rules that are published before checkout. The fee opens the account. It is not a deposit that the firm sends to a broker.

What you have to prove

Each program names a profit target, a daily loss limit, a maximum loss limit, and a minimum number of trading days. One-step programs use a single target. Two-step programs split the target across two phases. The loss limits stay in force the whole time.

How the book works

Orders are placed in the PropFundedTrader workspace. They fill on the firm's internal book at the live bid or ask, widened by the published spread. Quotes come from public market data. The trade is not forwarded to MetaTrader, cTrader, or an outside liquidity provider.

When a reward can be requested

Passing the evaluation moves the account to the funded phase. Under suitable conditions a withdrawal can be requested every 14 days. Each withdrawal pays the trader 80% of earned profit. The account must be flat, and the amount comes from profit above the starting balance.

If a limit is crossed

At every UTC hour the daily reference is set to available balance when the book is flat. Open positions keep the previous reference. Daily loss is 5% of that reference. Weekly loss is 10% of the weekly reference, which changes when the UTC week changes. Maximum loss is a floor under the starting balance. Crossing a limit flattens open positions and marks the account breached. New orders stop. The dashboard shows the reason and the time.
